    Calling all startups: pitch your breakthrough innovation and join GE Vernova in shaping the future of energy across the full electric lifecycle - generate, move, use, and recover. Together we can unlock transformative improvements in capacity, resilience, and affordability for MW-scale utilities and mission-critical industrial and AI infrastructures. Areas of interest are:


    Generate: clean, affordable, dispatchable power blocks


    Move/Use: smart, scalable, high-performance power conversion solutions, real-time grid & edge analytics, T&D automation & control


    Recover: turn waste into watts


    Wild card: bold and unconventional ideas to transform the electric future

     

    In addition to the scope areas, finalists must meet the following criteria: 

    • Available to pitch at Greentown Boston on Oct. 29
    • Pre-seed through Series B and privately held 
    • TRL ≥ 4, CRL ≥ 3, with revenue or proven commercial traction
  • NOTE: No information shared in response to these questions should be confidential, as it will be shared with GE Vernova, Greentown Labs, and any other program stakeholders.

  • Selection Criteria

  • TRL (Technology Readiness Level)

    1 - Basic principles observed and reported 
    2 - Technology concept and / or application formulated 
    3 - Analytical and experimental critical function and / or characteristic proof-of-concept 
    4 -  Component and / or breadboard validation in laboratory environment 
    5 -  Component and / or breadboard validation in relevant environment 
    6 -  System, subsystem, model or prototype demonstrated in a relevant environment 
    7 -  System prototype demonstrated in an operational environment 
    8 -  Actual system completed and qualified through test or demonstration 
    9 -  Actual system proven through successful mission operations

  • Commercial Readiness Level (CRL)

    1 - Basic hypothesis that a new technology would be commercially viable.
    2 - Basic market awareness demonstrated.
    3 - Applications of technology found.
    4 - Identify support needed from supply chain, plus any certification and regulatory requirements.
    5 -  Financial model for sales, costs and margins established.
    6 -  Confirm exploitation routes; form partnerships across the value chain; and certification and regulatory requirements underway.
    7 -  Financial model/commercial viability validated.

    8 -  First commercial system built; route to market established; market assumptions updated.
    9 -  Technology has been introduced to market.
